What Baby Needs
Sinner gave a happy sigh and looked out the window. Why was she feeling so maternal and motherly. This wasn’t like her. She wasn’t programmed for this. At least she didn’t think she was. She bit her lip. No she wasn’t meant for this. That was why the government had taken her uterus. Unfit for children was surely written on her paperwork.
Inferno had thought similar things before she was pregnant, even after she found out about the baby. She couldn’t be a mother and all that, she wasn’t meant for it. But the longer she lived with this, the more she thought about it and watched her belly grow as the life inside her developed, the more she began to think, maybe she could do it. She could be a mother to this child. A mother like the one she had never been blessed with.
Now she was just grinning to herself as she pulled the SUV back into the parking space from which they’d stolen it. Even without Megz there, this was fun, At least she still had Sinner.
The cyborg jumped out and went around to the trunk. She pulled it open and grabbed the boxes again. It really paid to have super human strength. She grinned looking at Inferno.
“Now to set these up! Then we can see what supplies we need for them and get those at a later time, yes!”
“Sure thing, Sis. Got at least five months left. Plenty of time.” Grinning and chuckling Inferno led the way back up to the penthouse. Kicking off her flip flops as they re-entered the penthouse, she glanced around. “Where you think we should set it up?” She really wasn’t sure… in the bedroom? A separate room?
“Well do you have another bedroom here or just the one? If its just the one then you will want to put it in your bedroom. At least that is what I have read.”
What was wrong with her brain? Where was all this baby information coming from. This was just too weird. But she didn’t let that change her happy expression on her face. She grinned and moved into the living room, still holding the boxes.
She scratched the back of her neck gently, her fingers brushing over the scar along her spine. “There is one other room, not really a bedroom…” She thought about it for a little bit. Did she really want to have the baby on the other side of the penthouse from their bedroom….?
“Hmmm… okay. Yeah, lets put it in the bed room.” She still didn’t have a handle on this mom stuff, but she was pretty sure she was going to want to be as close to the baby as possible.

“Well you still got time. We can work through the list later. For now. Furniture!”
Sinner jumped down and returned to the area. Standing in front of the pieces.
“So these are the pieces right?”
“Thank God for that.” She chuckled, grinning, and moved out of the way. “Yeah, yeah these are great.”
The cyborg gave a nod and looked at what the set was numbered as. She started to move alone, looking for the boxes with that number. Finding them, she hoisted the three boxes up onto her shoulders and started to walk for the truck.
“I’m gonna need you to open it!”
“Yeah, I got this.” She laughed and headed for the door, eyeing to make sure it was big enough for Sinner to pass through with the boxes. The SUV was back up close to the door and she popped the truck open, the whole back panel of the car rising on a hinge, self propelled so it held itself open while Sinner loaded the boxes.
She giggled, pushing the boxes inside the truck. She clapped her hands together as if to get dust off of them. Closing the back of the truck she moved forward and got into the passenger seat. She purred happily.
“Your baby is gonna have the best shit ever.”
“Damn straight!” She laughed as he climbed back into the driver’s seat, yet again buckling the seat belt before putting into drive. ”You think I’d let any kid of mine have anything less?” She chuckled as she pulled back out onto the street.

“This is one of those sled cribs. Supposed to not be as bad or enclosing as other models.”
She paused a moment, thinking how weird that sounded. She looked at Inferno sheepishly.
“I’ve been doing a bit a research for you. But I figured you would like the darker wood. Seems to be more suitable to you and Lord Megaminds.”
She grinned rather pleased with herself. She jumped over, sitting on one of the dressers to another set near by.
“Plus its got dressers and a changing table.”
“Inferno blinked for a second, then grinned. “Thanks Sinner.” She moved closer to the other pieces of furniture, running her fingers over the dark wood, chuckling. “You’re right, I do like the dark stuff.” ”She chuckled again, putting both of her hands flat on top of the dresser. “I guess I really hadn’t thought through how much stuff we were going to need…”
“Yeah apparently its a lot.”
The cyborg started to hop around. She could never stay in one spot.
She laughed and turned to lean against the dresser, watching Sinner move around. “Maybe we should make a check list or something.” She chuckled.

“Lemme go check them out. I’m sure I can find something.”
Sinner climbed out of the truck and started for the nearest wall. Climbing up she looked in the window. When that wasn’t right she moved from the next one to the other one. Until she found the baby supply warehouse. She motioned for Inferno to bring the truck over.
Inferno watched Sinner move from building to building, relaxed in the lurxury apolstered seat and playing with the radio as she waited. Finally Sinner signalled her to come with the truck and she grinned, putting it into gear and driving over to the building where Sinner was perched. Cutting the engine she jumped out and strolled up the the warehouse, grinning up at Sinner as she moved to the side door and melted the knob and locks away, toeing the door open. “Well done, Sis.” She grinned at Sinner as she glanced inside.
The cyborg dropped to the ground. She brought her hands up and behind the back of her head and walked into the place. She grinned from ear to ear, satisfied with her find.
“Only the best, sis. Only the best.”
She walked round, looking for something that would be suitable for the crazy child her sister was carrying. She sighed as she looked around. Her eyes widened as she saw a good set. It was over in the corner. She purred as she ran to it.
Inferno laughed as Sinner ran across the space to a set of furniture. Following after her, she glanced around at the other items in the warehouse. It was really starting to sink in, looking at all of this stuff. This was really happening, she was really having a baby, gonna be a mom. She took a slow deep breath, calming the nerves that threatened to rise up and grinning again by the time she reacted Sinner. “Oh!” She chuckled, grinning broadly. “I like this!” She said, running her fingers over the crib of the second set Sinner had pointed out. She didn’t like the bars, the prison feel, but she knew there wasn’t really another option as far as cibs went. They were to keep the baby safe, not imprison it.
