AU: Sparking a Blue Flame
He gave a short nod and smiled. “Alright then, here— I’ll make a call, then we can get started.” He pulled out the phone from his pocket and started punching in a few numbers, waving for her to follow him back into the house.
It took a bit of convincing, considering evidently he had made quite the wave when he had ran off— but the man he called finally agreed to grabbing his car for him with compensation of course— and Caesar decided to throw in the car they have now as well. He needed a way to get back and they really didn’t need it after that anyway.
He hung up and looked up at her. “An old friend of mine.” His lips pursed into a smile. “Used to work together.” He moved over to the couch, offering her to sit. “Hmm…well, lets see..I don’t know how much they’ve kept from you…” The corner of his lips quirked. “Any…math? Or reading and writing?” He asked, trying to think of basics and somewhere to start.
“I know the basics.” She told him after a second, looking up at him from the pillow she still held in her lap where she sat on the couch. “I had to be able to ‘pass’ for a civilian. Some reading, basic arithmetic, and I can sign just about anything convincingly… haven’t ever really tried sentences, mostly just names they provided.”
